As I have said from time to time SEO just isn’t enough anymore. The time has been and gone from when you could just get your site on page 1 and get the rewards. Converting the traffic you get from page 1 positions is just as important.
A full internet marketing campaign should contain the following:7
1) all aspects of SEO
2) Social Media
3) Blog optimisation
4) Website analysis
On this post I am going to focus on website analysis,
The best tool for looking at what people do on your site is Google Analytic’s correctly installed.
This can tell you what people are doing on your site. I found the best graph for an overall starting picture is the visitor flow.
To get to the visitor flow graph, log into your dashboard go to the audience tab on the left hand side and then from the drop down click visitor flow,
You see a graph like below:
This graph will tell you where people have gone from your homepage and where they dropped off,
A couple of other tips to help tracking and data analysis:
1) Set up thank you pages within your forms
2) Set up goals to track how successful certain keywords are
3) If you have the budget look into call tracking software
